OK... I'm still not sure I understad...

Do you have images that act as links to other pages?

E.g.
<a href="path/myFilename.ext" title="lorem ipsum">
<img src="folder/myImage.jpg" alt="lorem"></a>

If so (AND your site is online), you WILL (without deleting the links first) get the info you want by using the w3c link checker [validator.w3.org]
