I'd thought it was abandonware, but apparently, Adobe is still selling version 5.5 (so, no updates in YEARS), for $99 USD. I'll use notepad, or pspad, in a pinch, but when it comes to cranking out big chunks of HTML, I always run back to HomeSite. Now, we all know that industry types actually pay attention to what gets said here (which is one of the nice things about WebmasterWorld, really), so I was wondering how many people here still rely on HomeSite? And how many would love to see it updated. And what would those updates be? For me: Anything else? I mean, come on Adobe, how hard would it be to put a little love into a product that must be a slow but steady revenue stream? Almost $100 a copy for software that hasn't been touched in, what, 5 years? Longer?
After reading through the thread on mass search and replace [webmasterworld.com], I was really kind of surprised to see so many shout outs for HomeSite.
