Everyone always said that the Mac was able to add on language packs so you could "build you own" multi-lingual system. I think the Mac was the holy grail for Windows users who wanted to use Japanese/English up until recently. Back in the "old days" with Windows 95 there were few options available outside dual booting multiple OSs (granted there were some horribly expensive Japanese word processing apps that worked on an English OS...never liked them). Windows 2000 is the first Windows variant I've used that really lets you use multiple languages from an English base OS. Granted it's not as good as using a native system, but if you want the English help menus and just occasionally need to dabble in any of the double-byte languages...Win2K is the way to go!
