I've been a hardcoder from the beginning, one of the first advocates of BBEdit in the Mac. For you Windows users, BBEdit is a notepad with adrenalin injections. It's great software.

However, today my editor of choice is DreamWeaver 4 by a mile. Not only because creating CSS is a breeze, but because templates are a HUGE feature. Change something on a template and all pages based on that template change accordingly.

Also, now on DreamWeaver 4 there are three buttons on the toolbar that allow you to see the HTML code only, the WYSIWYG code only or both HTML and WYSIWYG! Yup, it splits the window in two and you can clearly see the the code and the changes in the result right then and there.

It also finally recognizes php files. I definitely recommend it for any professional website management and design.
