IF you are thinking iPhone apps, there are two ways to go: Monthly fees or lump sum payment. That is because there are fees to list your app in the App Store. Apple's Dev. Kit is a free download and you can build all the apps you want but to get them listed there are fees. Several businesses act as middlemen making apps easier to create, handling certification and placement for a fee.
The uBuildApp is for creating your own App without monthly fees for a one time fee. For a higher one time fee they will build it for you. If you prefer a managed solution with a monthly fee structure there is BizApps. There are many others, these two have been out there quite a while.
