Android doesn't really have a 'Walled garden@. if there is an app you can install it from any source.
I think Mozilla may be a little late to the party with this one.
Announced in July 2011, B2G aims to be an open rival to Google's Android.
Android already is open source. You can run a phone with a totally vanilla Android stack and have no Google input whatsoever. Why Mozilla feel the need to invent what already exists is a bit beyond me.
