But when will they release a PDA? With their new focus on peripheral applications, that whole "digital hub" idea, a PDA seems like an obvious next move. The sort of person who is so digital-gadgetized as to need a "digital hub" computer will almost certainly own or want a PDA.

Unless they think it would be too hard to convince a significant number of users to migrate away from Palm OS, and they're too proud to release a piece of hardware without 100% Apple software driving it...

OTOH, someone has already written a rudimentary PDA add-on hack for the iPod... Perhaps Apple could do something there, writing a secondary piece of software for the iPod device that would allow it to "officially" act as a PDA. Then, if the next generation iPod came Bluetooth enabled, they might really have something going on.
