I keep hearing bad things about unsecure wi-fi networks, and I really don't want to become a statistic.

I've been putting it off with my network because configuration is always a pain in the butt, and it seems to give me enough trouble as is.

Anyhow...I think I'm ready to take the time and do it.

I'm using an SMC EZ wireless card in my laptop, and a SMC WAP behind a Linksys router with a cable modem.

I'm not real sure where to start as I don't really think I did ANY configuration on the WAP.

I'm kinda in the dark here. Can someone give me a bit of background?
