I'm running a 54g wireless network and experience random signal level drops after a couple of minutes if I set the network to be encrypted.

This doesn't appear to happen with the network unencrypted.

Anyone have any idea of how to fix the problem. (Swapping channels just gives another 2 minutes of use before the signal drops again.)

Alternatively how secure is the mac address security feature, will it stop people listening in on the network.
