Thanks for your reply. I've pulled out the bits that I am worried about. I do want to write documents. As a university student I want to be able to write down parts of an essay from whereever I am but sure if I'm going to create a 2000 word plus assignment then much of the work formatting it etc has to be done on a desktop however, I do want to write a lot of it on the PDA. I'm repeating myself now. I think you might be interested in this link below. It is to a free download called Dasher and it has a very good animation on the website there. What it does is it allows you to enter text on either a desktop or PDA (maybe not for Palms?) by selecting characters as you go. The more you write the more it learns how often you use various character combinations (read: words) and believe me it really works... well, it does on a laptop. Sure its slower than typing however on a PDA it might be very very quick compared to other methods. I would really urge you to download it and give it a go. Donate a day to it writing various stuff while you get use to how it works and read the tutorials because the tips they give are very important and make it so much easier to use. I found that I could use it quickly and competently after about 2 hours of general use. I would love to know how people find it on a PDA. Here's the link http://www.inference.phy.cam.ac.uk/dasher/DasherSummary2.html Still interested on how much people write on their PDA's. Thanks, Insaa
