---- Using images from another site

Hi saha_m,
You deserve credit for coming in here and asking. Many people don't.

Here are the questions I wish people would ask themselves before lifting images or content from other sites:

1. Did I have anything to do with the creation of this graphic or does it belong to someone else?
[edited out the rest of the list after realizing how cynical I've become]

saha_m, as someone who has invested a huge amount of time and skill in creating original graphics, I appreciate people who ASK me about using my graphics and I usually give permission. But when I track down folks who have "hotlinked" to my images or taken them without following my Terms of Use - I am no longer interested in their "reasons" or "excuses." I realize there are some, a very few, who are "innocent" and may not know any better. But the majority do indeed know that what they are doing is wrong. Although there are many sites hosting "public domain" images - there aren't very many who permit hotlinking.

Please - always get permission first.
And thank you for asking that question.
