Excellent post. Right on target.

We have found that the tone of the initial contact is important. We start with the "Let’s keep the attorney out of this" approach and it seems to pay off in the long run.

BUT we always notify the attorneys about it. Keep them in the loop. You don’t need to find out that you’ve given something away or given the wrong impression.

What a shame we have to discuss this.........
