In Canada a major grocery chain is trying to jump on the frenzy that is "devices" by removing an aisle of food in order to have a "devices" section in every store. It isn't a small chain of grocery stores by any standard!
When you see a supermarket try to cash in like this the profits are extreme and, usually, the fad passes. I see interest in "devices" waning steadily starting in the not too distant future.
Remember the good 'ol days when parents limited TV and had only one landline phone (in the middle of the living room for everyone to hear) in order to encourage real activity? "devices" are destroying that and it's showing on this generation. A constant bombardment of advertising is making it hard to deny your kids "devices" and also making it hard not to "pacify" your kids by giving in. Sad, sad, sad.
