I'm using Suse 9.3, which doesn't have the repository option. Neither has it the zypper command.
I know about Yast, but when I use that to install packages, I usually get error that other libraries are needed for the package that I want to install. And that is one of my irritations: I don't care that a package needs other libraries, I expect that Yast installs any required library itself.
So i appreciate your help, but I'm still getting nowhere.
Do I need to update to a newer version of Suse to make life easier for myself? And if so, can I upgrade from my existing version? Or can I add the repository option to my existing Suse version?
