Im with you. My vista desktop has been plagued with problems since I got it. Died 4 days ago. Downloaded Ubuntu, simple install, no driver issues, no network connection issues, no issues full stop. Im 90% browser, so the only difference I've noticed is that the computer runs faster.
Its come a long way.
