i couldnt disagree more. When i hit number one for my keywords on google i couldnt understand why i wasnt in the top 100 with fast. Since google is the game these days i stuck with optimising with google in mind. What ive noticed is that fast just seems to take longer to put changes in the strenght in your site into real world results. today im number one with fast too after a steady climb from 100 over about 8 months. I also see none of the spam cheating sites that im up against with google. with google i see that you just need a good linking campaign, whereas with fast youre entire site needs to be right also. thats my observation and i guess youd disagree. but if youre not up for keywords and youre site justifies it, then just give it time.
