I couldn't agree more. Especially with today's html5 pages and ajax the page is not reloaded... just redrawn which would not reload the analytics code.

for instance, our product page is css tabbed. the customer can get all the information they need right there and if they don't then they leave, thus our "bounce" rate has increased... at least by their metrics.
