you're worried about a competitor potentially spying on you, yet you willingly give google all your data?
I never chose to give google analytics any stats, we were already signed up when I joined the company. Still I can't see too much harm in it.
What is the worst that could happen?
What I am more concerned about is that:
1) we spend with adwords on our target key terms.
2) we are working to get page 1 natural listings in the serps.
Google knows these two things. I bet it might be tempting not to give us P1 listings so as to maintain the income from adwords!
That could happen possibly?
They certainly have the data!
