Not sure if there is a solution to this but would be interested in finding out.
A client has a website www.example.com , which gives the option of an email signup. So you enter you email address on www.example.com and click "submit". You then get taken to [visitor.example.com...] for example, and you tick some preference boxes, then get taken to a confirmation URL page with http;//visitor.example.com

Is there any way of setting up a goal and tracking this?
Goals can't start on one domain and go to another, can they?

I was going to send the clients instructions on cross domain tracking from here:

[google.com...]

But I'm not sure if it's the right way to go.....
