but no matter what settings i change, the PNG-24 save for web image still is slightly brighter when viewed in Firefox than when viewed in Safari or Chrome, even when changing to Windows colors or anything else. I have CS1 only. Is there something I can change in color settings to help? My color Settings is in the drop down under "Photoshop" and is listed directly above the "Preferences..." selection. I don't see any chevrons or RGB LCD in my color settings area. to me the save for web version strips the file of whatever is telling Firefox to show its true color, and instead shows the brighter version. Only a regular save as a png file from photoshop keeps the color consistent when seen in Firefox. any other ideas?
thanks for pointing out the "Save for Web..." aspect of Photoshop, that eliminated the initial color change that was happening when moving it into Image Ready.
