I have a friend who designed a pretty fun chess variant for four players. I have been toying with the idea of building a multiplayer environment for this game. Its going to be either flash or Java, there are no other reasonable choices. I know java reasonably well, so thus I'm leaning towards flash. There are some uses for the stuff, but its definitely not to be used as just a marketing tool.
