I've gotten more and more away from fancy animated GIFs and other visual gimmickry the more I concentrate on search engine positioning. My primary goal graphically right now is how small can I get it while still having an appealing looking final product?
Hmm... I haven't specifically noticed a difference, but I'll have to do some kind of side-by-side comparison, now that you mention it.
