I highly reccommend 4. This might help you gain rankings in Yahoo straight. Since your site has been well established and has been around for a while, I bet it'll have good PR. Set up the new site with a keyword domain, with the keyword as the title, theme'd, with some content from the main site. Then place a link from the index of the main site to your new site, and it'll be ranking very soon. Then submit to Yahoo (when you already have PR and if possible rankings in Google), and you'll probably see a lot more traffic then ever before.
