Well, it looks like Yahoo is conducting another Update (algo change), however you may not see it yet until all their datacenters have completed the update.

I have to say this update looks horrible for many of the searches I conducted. I'm seeing sites that have no relevancy come up high in the results. Some of the sites that are coming up in top 3 seem to be more popular for just one of the words in the search keyphrases. But if the search contains more than one word it Yahoo seems to get confused and doesn't provide the most relevant results for the exact search phrase. Also, more of the popular sites have taken a nosedive. Sites that have been number 1 on Yahoo, and still are number 1 on the other majors, have fallen deep in Yahoo's results.
All in all it looks like Yahoo is starting all over in the Search game and re-building their algo from scratch. It just reminds me of MSN, but where do they stand in the ranks...last. I hate to see Yahoo fall behind MSN, but MSN is showing more relevant results as of now.

Maybe Yahoo should revert back to the algo before their fifth update (http://www.ysearchblog.com/archives/000213.html) when they were still providing relevant results.

If this is their way to compete with Google results, I'd say continue to use Google.

Horrible
