The results would only look different for query results pages containing links/listings for the three sites which now have default enhanced treatment (Yelp, Yahoo! Local, LinkedIn).

This is a very good step, since there's very little overall incentive for sites to integrate with Yahoo! SearchMonkey treatment, otherwise.

I have developed a couple of published applications, but I think it's only going to be compelling if there's some chance of having certain apps to be default for all users as they've done now with this first three. As things currently stand, most Yahoo users are probably unlikely to find the Search Gallery and wouldn't immediately understand why they should desire to add the enhancements.
