OK, all these ideas are wrong. In my affiliate category, there is a competitor on PAGE TWO of Y SERPS. They have tons of outgoing links AND tags are optimized. Their site is 5 and 1/2 years old. I think Yahoo is trying to copy Google with the sandbox idea. Maybe it takes TWO years to get out of the Yahoo sandbox. I do not think there is a penalty, but rather some type of sandboxing going on. There is obviously NO prejudice against affiliate sites. The competitor has Adsense and gobs of affiliate links everywhere. YET it is on page TWO. So, we have to get real here. Age now obviously counts in Yahoo SerPS. Only question is HOW MANY YEARS in the Y sandbox?
