I had something similiar happen. My sites got banned because of cgi scripted links that were pointing from other sites to mine fooling Yahoo robot's into believing my site was duplicate content. I wrote to Yahoo and told them about the problem. At first they wrote saying I was up to trickery as well. Then I finally got a human to look at the site and they realized it was legitimate. They wrote back saying the site was fine and it was reincluded. Instantly the site regained its ranking. Then a few months afterward for no reason all the site's pages were dropped except the index page. I tried to make Yahoo aware of the problem but I haven't been able to re-establish contact with the person I wrote to at Yahoo. It is really frustrating because I have dozens of sites that were effected because I had submitted them all to a directory that used cgi scripted links. To make things super annoying several of the sites were actaully listed in Yahoo's directory and they have been affected as well. The sites are all informational in nature.
I hope that Yahoo will take a look into this problem. Because I imagine that it affects many other people as well.
