I agree and disagree with you here. Yahoo is definitely not ranking me high so I agree there. On the other hand they have definitely not indexed my entire site. I just tested this by looknig at a forum post from June. Its in google's and msn's index but not yahoo's. I have tried this with numerous posts and static content. Now I understand that not every page is going to be indexed on a large site, but I would have expected more.
Ok fair enough. I hope that means at some point google will index those pages. Still though, if I do a google search of a popular keyword on my site like this search query:
I get around 1650 results all of indexed pages. Lets say some of those are repeats...so we are generous and knock of 50%, that leaves me with 825 valid indexed pages. Now do the same query on yahoo and there are only 125 results. Once again this shows that yahoo is not fully indexing my site.
I have approximately 4600 backlinks that i can see with google. I think thats quite a bit.
I h ave no dupe content on my site.
Mod_rewrite has been running for the past couple of months. Definitely helped with google, but did nothing with yahoo.
Thus you see my predicament. Would contacting yahoo help at all? Would they even tell you if you are being penalized for some reason?
