What I like in particular, besides the extra space, is the elimination of graphic ads (esp. the Flash ones!). I agree with others here, the new interface sucks.

BTW, I was using Mozilla, and couldn't get past the "announcement" page --- I would receive 404 errors. I had to login with IE, click past the announcement page, and then login again with Mozilla (after which the 1-time announcement page was gone, and it would work fine).
