If you have penalty on yahoo - google doesnt care about it. It's well known that you need links to your website. I dont know how competitive your keyword is, but I guess it's not much. Sticky mail me your website's url and I'll take a look at it and try to help you.
well, the thing with google is that it will take a few months to see results.
