Here is a bit of information that you might find useful regarding the various Terra portals on the web.

I have listed the search features each Country-specific Terra portal has to offer.
-Who provides the results.
-How they are displayed.
-Where you can submit a site.
-Where the search features are located on each Terra.

[6]Global - buscar2.terra.com/buscar/[/6]
This is the backbone that powers many of the search platforms on Terra's portals. It is powered by Lycos with results pulled from the Lycos Directory and FAST Search and Transfer.

Drop-down box Options:
-Global Spanish-language search
-Various Spanish/Portuguese language country-specific searches*.

* Will search for sites within the database whose domains are country-specific. For example if you choose Brazil then the results will display all relevant sites that are hosted on .com.br addresses.

Search box defaults to Global Spanish-language search

Displayed Results:

1. List of keywords that other users have searched for that are related to your search
2. Related Categories pulled from the Lycos Directory
3. Web sites that were found to be relevant within the Lycos Directory along with what category they are located.
4. Web Pages pulled from FAST's database. They can be both specific to the country or language depending on the search option selected.

Search: Search box at top of page or by selecting "Buscador" from the left Navbar.

Drop-down options:
-Search(Default)
-Products
-Sites
-Pages

Default Search

1. Within Terra's Network. These consist of Terra's own sub domains and pages specifically created by Terra.
2. Terra Categories related to the topic (Web Sites)
3. Web Pages listed by Inktomi's database
4. Terra's e-commerce shopping lists

Any of the above results can be displayed alone by selecting the appropriate search option beside the search box before the search is performed.

Search: Search box located at the top middle of the page or by selecting "Buscador" from the left Navbar.

Displayed Results:

1. Sections unique to Terra Argentina (Chat, Special, Channels, etc.)
2. News
3. Terra Categories (Not necessarily specific to Argentina)
4. Web Sites submitted to Terra.com.ar

Ability to suggest a site

Search: Search box at top of page or can select "Busca" from the left Navbar.

Search box on main page defaults to "Search The Web"

Options from Search Page:
-Radio buttons for Brazil or The Web
-Button to search using HotBot

Brazil Option:

1. Related Categories
2. Most relevant submitted sites listed in Terra Brazil's categories.
3. Web Pages pulled from the FAST's database on Brazil-specific (.br) domains.

Search The Web Option:

1. Table of similar terms that other users searched for.
2. Related Categories
3. Most relevant submitted sites listed in Terra Brazil's categories
4. Web Pages pulled from FAST's database specific to pages entirely in Portuguese. (Not specific to Brazil)

1. Articles, News, and other features from Terra.cl.

Search The Web Option(Default)

3. Web Sites pulled from various categories. (Lycos Directory)
4. Web Pages pulled from FAST's database specific to pages entirely in Spanish. (Not specific to Chile)

Ability to suggest a site

2. Related Categories
3. Web Sites pulled from various categories. (Lycos Directory)

Mexico Option:

1. Sponsored Listings or Terra's own specialized categories.
2. Web Pages pulled from FAST's database specific to Mexico.

Global Option:

1. Sponsored Listings or Terra's own specialized categories.
2. Web Pages pulled from FAST's global database.

Shopping Option:

1. Products listed on Terra Mexico

Chévere Option:
