Microsoft wants me to go through a major overhaul of my account including a surge in ad spend. Why would I invest my time on that if the system is going to fold in the coming months?

Exactly - both of my accounts could use work, but I don't want to spend time on either right now because of all of the uncertainty. It could just end up being a huge waste of time.
