We recently launched some search PPC ads on Yahoo. And found this in our logs crawling the ads.

user-agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.01; Windows NT 5.0) RPT-HTTPClient/0.3-3E
IP:74.6.251.164

nslookup says
Name: sk1-adtscorfe-007.ysm.sk1.yahoo.com
Address: 74.6.251.164

Which makes sense because the landing pages are unique to these yahoo search ads.

I didn't realize yahoo had an ads bot yet.

It seems weird (and not ideal) that they are using a generic user-agent for this bot.

Has anyone seen this ads bot? Are they doing "quality score" with it too?
