Google CPCs are higher in my experience.

So UK traffic previously from AOL via Overture will now cost more via Google.

It was always on the cards IMHO - Google and AOL USA have worked together for a year or more. Makes financial sense for AOL (higher CPC at Google = more profit per CPC for AOL)and means one less partner to work with on the tech/contractual/financial side.
