They mentioned a lot about China's concern about Google's mapping technology. I had always wondered why that point had never been raised much in the past. I'd always found Google's maps of areas like Shanghai to be off. GPS coordinates never seemed to match the actual map; Street addresses were often way off the mark; The satellite view didn't match the map view. I thought Google was already complying with them on that.
