How about some real numbers? If China only had 100 .cn domain registered at the start of 2007, and sold 476 more names that year, they would have that "467 percent growth" number, (100% growth in effect means doubling). Then at the start of 2008, with 576 .cn names, (the 100 original plus the new 476), if 437 new .cn names got registered in 2008, there's your "76 percent growth", (add a bunch of zeros to the end of my integers to scale it up to actual count). If you buy a bottle of shampoo that contains 20oz. of shampoo, and the label says "33% MORE FREE!" A). How much shampoo do you get? I'll give you one of the answers, the only one that counts because it's quantifiable: A. 20oz.
I hate percents, especially "percent of change over period of time" type statistics, (unless you're a day trader in it for the short term)...
B). What does it cost?
C). What is "more" compared to?
