Understand perfectly! Now-a-days I promote the price range first no paperwork (solicited RFPs the exception). If their next response is something to the effect of... WHAT! I walk away.
Also, I DO NOT recommend this proposal for a $300-$900 deal.... but 3k-11k, 4 months to annual SEO campaign - outlines scope of work, deliverables, definition of tasks etc.
