i don't think achshar is being offered cash or a percentage or links! he is being asked for that in exchange for some kind of database.

personally i think if you can build the database yourself, as you suggested you could, then do it, this way you have total control, if things go well the value of ads/links will far exceed the start up cost/time of the database.
