Oh man. Voting on a single issue is a lousy way to vote. I realize it is your ballot and all .. and you live in a democracy. But I would advise against being that easily swayed.

I remember way back in the early 80's a certain Provincial politician was talking about loosening our admittedly Victorian liquor laws to allow beer to be sold in corner stores. I knew that several of my beer drinking friends that voted for the first and only time in their lives, based only on that single issue. Well, it never happened and they were very disappointed and dishearted with politics. Shocking!

My point. After the election is over... prepare to be disappointed. Because the Telcos and Cable companies will be screaming bloody murder when they have to invest billions more so that we can all download cheap movies.

We will pay for this one way or another. I say let the bandwidth hogs pay for it!
