NetMeg, regarding the VIP account, too funny, me too... I get these , "Hi, I'm just calling you to tell you about xyz and to ask how you are doing. Is there anything I can do for you?" calls all the time.
Regarding Godaddy tech support.... Its been stellar for me. I once purchased about a very, very large number of domains from a spreadsheet that had some errors in it. Tech support worked with me for hours to straighten the problem out and reverse the purchases.
