What the heck does this have to do with Webmasterworld? This doesn't belong on the site, much less on the home page. I can go to the Wall Street Journal for economic announcements, I don't expect to see this here. I'm surprised.

WebmasterWorld is about running websites in the real world ..so from time to time we discuss the real world ..else we'd all just be asking about which is the best javascript to use for the nav on our who has the cutest handmade quilts site on the cutest sites webring ..

sure but what you actually get there and at Fox as martinibuster pointed out is propaganda ..and biased ..wheras down here ..in the guts of the "new economy" you get really diverse opinions ..and you get to choose which to hear ..which to make you wonder ..and which one(s) to allow to influence or not your actions ..your sites ..and your attitude to your future on and offline projects ..that is a good thing :)

I can and frequently do disagree with many here ..but it's the only place ( forum ) that you get the level of analysis and intellect on web and other matters ( and foo :) that counts ..and it has no avatars or sigs and precious little spam gets through ..

so dont knock the occasional diversion all ajax and css ( choose your favourite techy / adsense ) fora makes jack a nerdy out of touch boy ..

sometimes even the poster(s) whom you habitually hate ..can give you very valuable insights ..and alternative ways of thinking ..

BTW i didnt mean that to sound like I normally hate martinibusters posts ..:)
