With all due respect- no, it isn't. I won't argue against it being a contributing factor, but there are valid, quantifiable reasons for this crisis. Deliberate actions. Poor policy decisions. When your normal behavior is spending beyond your means, (from the personal to the national level) reverting to normal behavior will hardly correct the problem.
It's all about psychology.
