Someone I know is just about to open a bar, and I want to do
a webpage for him, but are there any fairly foolproof ways
that he will know when someone has entered his bar as a
result of seeing his bar on the website?

I know that the newspapers do a coupon for their
advertisers, so that when a member of the public sends in
the coupon, there's also an identifying code somewhere on
the coupon, so that the source can be easily identified, but how do you do it with a website though?

Any help greatly appreciated.
