It is amazing how many webmasters don't realize just how bad their site sucks. Odds are good that your site sucks - ALOT. I'm sorry but it is true. Until you do a bit of usability testing you won't know how big your problems are. I think my sites are great but I still put them through usability testing and I do find flaws that I didn't realize before I tested.
An honest outside opinion is priceless.
I've gotten tired trying to convince clients they have bad sites so I often make them do a mandatory customer survey like what Google is now offering for free. Don't take my word for it, let 100 or 200 of your customers voice their opinion. You will quickly see that your great site has flaws.
Personally I wouldn't use Google's free tool not because I'm paranoid but because it isn't good enough for the testing I do. This free tool is way too easy to generate fake customer satisfaction that I really doubt Google would ever use it. I can see it helping doubleclick better track internet users for ad purposes.
