Every webmaster is familiar with the 20/80 behavior of site’s traffic, where 20% of site’s pages responsible for 95% of the organic traffic and the rest 80% get only 5% of the total traffic.
Something that goes across the board for many types of websites.
The questions are –
1. Do these 80% pages harm site ranking? I guess they are.
2. How to deal with the pages that get zero traffic? Should one segment these pages, putting them on a separate section and never link to them? Deleting some of them? Does it help or could too many deleted pages affect a site?
I am interested to read viewpoints and learn from others experience.
