Great. yes. that would be good practice. i remember i had encountered one such example in google's webmaster help forum.
And i will do that instead of 301 redirect.

Earlier my question was an issue. But now I have curiosity.
What happens (in terms of ranking for new keyword) if such page is 301 redirected to different page with completely different keyword?
