I just thought about this some more. Do you mind explaining why having a unique ID in the URL is a good idea and why it helps keep the database organized?
Also, why would someone have a unique URL for different kinds of information for the same product? This was mentioned above:
"Additionally, the reviews are at www.example.com/r173820082-acme-model-34684-widget and detailed product specs are at www.example.com/s173820082-acme-model-34684-widget"
Why wouldn't you just have www.example.com/173820082-acme-model-34684-widget containing both the detailed product specs and reviews?
