When I read the article, the "tone" and substance (or lack of substance) in Larry's answers made me think he could care less about Search, Advertising, Android or anything else that "corporate" is selling on Main Street, Wall Street or Madison Avenue. I think Larry would like to quit and go play with rocket ships and robotic cars.
It must be frustrating to come up with a search algorithm, then have the bean counters tell you how it needs to be tweaked to serve less relevant results and deliver more ad clicks.
As far as "organizing the worlds information" Wikipedia is more relevant than Google these days -- and more credible.
