I had a section at the bottom of all of my pages for classified ads. I removed them about a year ago and recovered big time. The ads were below the fold. A couple months later another iteration came out and we fell off the SERPS again. We are still working to improve the site (deleting junk pages mostly).

But like someone else mentioned, we still get more traffic from Google than Bing and Yahoo combined.
