My site returned to page one over the weekend for my most competitive terms after being banished to page three for the last month. Looks like Google updated something, although it varies by platform, browser, and location I have noticed. I am wondering whether Google just corrected its algo from beginning of October or whether my site had a penalty of some sort for dupe content. In the last month the pages reported with dupe titles in WMT dropped from over 1,000 to 25 as I made some changes to my titles. The drop hit only my most competitive searches, not the long tail searches.
